Nancy Mills, a secretary at Catalina (she used to be a CO for a number of years), is in need of donated leave time.   Unfortunately, she is going out for surgery and doesn't have the leave on the books to cover her recovery time.  This is the second major surgery she has had in the last few years.  Nancy has often shown her generosity in the past for people in need by donating some of her hard earned leave.  Nancy's EIN is 61312.   Any amount of donated time is most appreciative.

The Legislative Session for 2008 adjourned (Sine Die) Friday June 27th. The session can be termed a success in that we were able to move HB2117 (Ordinary Disability), for CORP members, to the Governor's desk for signature and we were able to stave off bills that were simply bad policy for the state and our membership.

On June 23^rd, 2008, Louise Caddell won the election for the CWA District 7 Vice President, at the CWA conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
